In a confident forecast, former England captain Michael Vaughan has predicted Pakistan's triumph in the upcoming 2024 T20 World Cup set to take place in the West Indies and USA.

Vaughan, despite acknowledging challenges within Pakistani cricket, expressed unwavering confidence in the team's potential success. Speaking on the 'Club Prairie Fire' podcast, he highlighted significant structural changes in Pakistani cricket, particularly commending the appointment of Mohammad Hafeez as director and head coach.

Vaughan lauded Hafeez's dual role and expressed optimism about its positive impact on the team dynamics. Emphasizing the team's transformation, he stated, "They have assembled a new team. 

It's noteworthy that Pakistan has a new T20I captain, with Shaheen Afridi leading the side in the upcoming away series against New Zealand in January 2024, following Babar Azam's resignation from all formats.

As Pakistan gears up for the Test series in Australia, Shan Masood will lead the team, starting with the first Test in Perth on December 14. The squad, which convened in Rawalpindi on November 22, is in preparation mode until November 28, with the team set to depart from Lahore on November 30.
